Biography
Terry Whitworth Costello, Sr., age 68, of Front Royal passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Chaplain Roger Vorous officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester.
Terry was born in Warren County on July 25, 1941, a son of the late Agnes Grove and Richard Costello, Sr. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a lifetime member of Buckmasters and an avid hunter. He enjoyed working in the yard, especially cutting the grass, and when he was not hunting them, he liked to watch deer in the wild. Above all else he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Costello is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Mauck Costello; his sons, Terry Costello, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Front Royal and Scott Costello and wife Tammy of Barto, PA; his daughter, Wendy Smoot and husband Allen of Front Royal; his sisters, Juanita Breeden and Judy Wallace; his grandchildren, Amanda Costello, Amber Costello Kidwell, Teryn Costello, Jeremy Fariss, Matt Fariss, Scott Costello, Jr., William Smoot and Chelsea Smoot; and his great-grandchildren, Caleigh and Nathaniel Kidwell.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Costello was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Costello, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Greg Breeden, Jeff Costello, Raymond Jenkins, Billy Chapman, Steve Breeden and Phillip Henry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Ellis, Matt Fariss and Jeremy Fariss.
